Meet the Mind Behind the Math
Math has always been part of my story. Even as a kid, I saved my math homework for last—not because I had to, but because I genuinely loved it.
That passion eventually turned into a career dedicated to helping teachers and schools strengthen math instruction in meaningful ways. Through Math Coaching That Counts, I work with educators across the country to bring clarity, confidence, and coherence to the way math is taught.
My goal is simple: help teachers move beyond memorization and procedures so students can truly make sense of mathematics.
A Career That Just Keeps Adding Up
My career began in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, where I started as a computer teacher. But it didn’t take long to realize that math was where my heart—and my impact—really belonged.
Since then, I’ve worked as:
-
A middle school math teacher
-
An elementary math coach
-
A K–12 math consultant supporting districts nationwide
Today, I partner with schools and districts to help teachers deepen their understanding of math standards, build strong instructional practices, and design classrooms where students are active participants in learning. Although my work has taken me across the country, New Jersey will always feel like home, and I remain deeply committed to strengthening math education for students throughout the state.
