"Working with Cheryl Fricchione has been an invaluable experience for our staff. Her deep knowledge of both mathematics and instructional practice has helped our teachers expand their content-pedagogical expertise. Cheryl is not only an expert in her field but also brings a contagious enthusiasm and a relatable approach to every session. She connects with teachers by offering practical, real-world strategies that can be implemented immediately in the classroom.

As an administrator, I’ve found Cheryl to be responsive, insightful, and always ready to provide support and guidance when needed. The feedback from our teachers has been overwhelmingly positive. They've described her as "a terrific presenter," "engaging and real," and have shared that her sessions are "helpful and informative." Cheryl's ability to make complex topics relatable has made a lasting impact on our professional development."

"I attended four of Coaching that Counts workshops on Place Value, Number Lines, Fractions and Data Literacy and they were all amazing! Cheryl is extremely knowledgeable of the standards from Kindergarten through 8th Grade. In each workshop she covered the topics and how they should be presented to the various grades based on their standards. She provided us with extremely useful and "turnkey" activities that could easily be used in the classroom. She stressed the importance of "appropriate" manipulatives to use in the classroom at each grade level. I got so much great information from each workshop session and the day flew by because we were always up and doing the activities.

I highly recommend her workshops to any teacher, as well as math coaches!"

Real Experiences. Real Impact.

"Coaching that Counts is the best professional development I’ve attended in my first 8 years of teaching. It’s hands on, engaging and you’ll leave with new ideas to implement in your classroom the next day. Cheryl is very knowledgeable and welcomes any and all questions. I highly recommend attending."

"Our school has been lucky to have Cheryl as our math coach for the past two years.  I have been impressed with Cheryl's knowledge of standards, instructional routines, and using data to drive instruction.  Cheryl uses her background and interpersonal skills to make each math teacher in our school the best version of themself. She is a true asset!"

"Our school worked with Cheryl for two years as we transitioned from Everyday Math to Illustrative Math, and her impact was tremendous. While she is an expert in the IM program, what really sets her apart is her deep knowledge of K–8 mathematics (and beyond!) across many curricula.

Rather than delivering a generic publisher workshop, Cheryl worked closely with me to customize professional development that truly met the needs of our independent school and supported our teachers through the transition. Her sessions energized our faculty and deepened their understanding of the math at their own grade levels and across grades.

I’ve recommended Cheryl widely to other DC-area independent schools. She made a meaningful difference for our math program, and I highly recommend her work."
