Curriculum Support:

If your district is using—or considering—a problem-based curriculum like Illustrative Mathematics (IM) or Amplify Desmos Math (ADM), I can help you make the most of it.

As an IM Certified Facilitator, I’ve partnered with schools from Maryland to Massachusetts, helping educators implement IM in a way that works for their students and communities. I also supported schools piloting Amplify Desmos Math during the 2024–2025 school year, bringing insight into its unique structure and instructional design. I bring a deep understanding of both programs’ routines, pedagogy, and the shifts they require.

My support helps educators:

  • Build the content and pedagogical knowledge to implement these curricula with confidence

  • Understand the why behind routines and lesson structures

  • Use student thinking to drive instruction and classroom discourse

  • Navigate pacing, Tier-2 instruction, and formative assessment opportunities

  • Align instruction to grade-level standards and district goals

Whether your team is just getting started or ready to go deeper, I offer workshops, coaching, model lessons, leader sessions, walk-alongs, and collaborative support tailored to your context. ✉️ Email me to learn more.

In-District Workshops:

If your school or district is working to strengthen math instruction—whether you're focusing on fluency, discourse, data literacy, vertical alignment, or building a deeper understanding of the NJSLA—I can help your team bring clarity, coherence, and confidence to their work.

I’ve partnered with schools across New Jersey to design and deliver professional learning that is responsive to local goals and grounded in what students truly need. From refining daily instruction to supporting systemwide shifts, I bring an adaptable approach backed by research and real classroom experience.

.

In order to teach mathematics in powerful and empowering ways, teachers must first have experiences learning mathematics in powerful and empowering ways. That’s a core belief behind every workshop I lead.

Teachers engage as mathematicians—solving problems independently and in collaborative groups, exploring strategies, and reflecting on their own thinking. Sessions are built around classroom-appropriate tasks that not only model effective instruction but also surface important notions, beliefs, and misconceptions. This creates space for both instructional growth and mindset shifts, bridging content knowledge with practical, day-to-day application.

Targeted, Custom Support:

Not every school or district needs a full-day workshop or a cohort model—and that’s where this kind of support shines. I work directly with teams to create just-right professional learning experiences that are strategic, flexible, and grounded in your reality.

Custom support can include:

  • Side-by-side coaching during lesson launches, monitoring, and discourse

  • Mini PDs and grade-band cycles that fit into staff meetings or articulation time

  • Aligning materials and resources to standards, pacing guides, and student needs

  • Unit unpacking and planning to strengthen coherence and focus

  • Building content knowledge across grades to support vertical alignment

  • Targeted professional learning on key teaching practices, including:

    • The 5 Practices for Orchestrating Productive Mathematics Discussions

    • High-Leverage Instructional Routines

I’ve partnered with districts during times of change—new curriculum adoptions, shifting priorities, evolving leadership—and helped them stay focused on what matters most: strong math instruction grounded in student thinking.

🧭 Not sure what your team needs yet? That’s okay too.
✉️ Email me and let’s figure it out together.
