High-Leverage Instructional Routines
Description: This engaging session introduces educators to six high-leverage instructional routines (HLIRs) that bring clarity, structure, and student voice to math instruction. Participants will explore what makes something a routine, define the core characteristics of HLIRs, and experience each routine in action. Each routine is short (5–15 minutes), flexible, and content-driven, making them easy to embed within any curriculum. Educators will unpack how HLIRs promote student engagement, elevate mathematical reasoning, and offer informal assessment opportunities that inform responsive teaching.
